As soon as the guns fall silent in Syria, people will begin to rebuild their country and their lives. This is the conviction of Tareq Emtairah, a researcher at Lund University in Sweden, who is together with colleagues starting visionary workshops in which exiled researchers will sketch out a sustainable future for Syria. By staying one step-ahead they can help ensure the re-building process is as well-thought out as possible.
