According to a new study from the University of Vaasa, EU merger control has significantly affected the interpretation and enforcement of the Finnish merger provisions. The assessment criteria in the EU merger control have moved from a structure-based approach to a more behavioural approach. This can also be seen in the recent case practice in Finland.
